– Street scenes like her father’s office, the ambulance, and the store never change signaling that these are important to the plot twists and basis of the films story
– Spirals and clocks that represent a sense of urgency and speed for Lola to hurry up and find Manni before something terrible happens to Lola or Manni
– The music playing being titled “What a Difference a Day Makes” symbolizing that this day can and will be important to the storyline
– The staircase animations symbolizing that every little change that happens to Lola changes the whole day
– The importance and screentime of the number 20 which keeps telling the viewers that Lola only has 20 minutes to change the fate of Manni’s life
– The strangers on the street symbolizing that everything Lola does can change anyone’s life in one second
Elements that are important to the storyline that are introduced before they become important
