Run Lola Run is a 1998 German movie about a young woman named Lola the story starts when she finds out her boyfriend Manni lost 100,000 marks that belong to a gang after he left the bag on a train by accident the movie has three different versions of the same story, each one ending with a different outcome . Every run shows a new result that changes cause of Lola’s choices and timing. Each time she dies or lives we see how small moments can change everything.

First Run
Lola gets a call from Manni who says he got 20 minutes to find the money or he be killed she runs to her dad’s bank hoping he can help her. On the way she trips over a dog and almost gets hit by a red car that later crashes. When she gets to the bank her dad tells her he’s leaving her mom for another woman. Hurt and mad, Lola runs to Manni before he robs a store but she’s too late. She joins him in the robbery and is accidentally shot and dies.
Key point: In the first run Lola acts out of fear and panic. Her bad timing makes everything go wrong.

Second Run
Time rewinds and Lola gets another shot. This time she jumps over the dog instead of tripping which changes her timing a bit. She reaches the bank earlier but her dad still won’t help and admits he’s been cheating. Angry and desperate, Lola robs him and runs to Manni again. She finds him before the robbery, but this time Manni is hit and killed by a truck right in front of her.
Key point: Lola’s faster and stronger this time. She’s learning but not quite there yet.

Third Run
After Manni call the story restarts again. Lola avoids the dog and takes a new route. She misses her dad and ends up in a casino where she takes a crazy chance and wins 100,000 marks meanwhile Manni sees the homeless guy who stole his bag and chases him down getting the money back. In the end they both survive and both have the money.
Key point: Lola has grown up. She’s calmer, more confident, and finally in control.

Conclusion
Across all three runs, Run Lola Run shows how small choices can change everything. Lola’s quest to help Manni get the money he needs is set against the 20-minute clock, and each run has its own differences and consequences that change the story for her. Each run includes repeating events such as the ambulance, the old lady, the car, the dog, and the bicycle guy where small differences in timing can change the outcome in big ways.
